Karachi Announces New Pink Bus Route From Abdullah Chowk to Numaish

📰 Another Pink Bus Service Route Announced for Karachi

The Sindh government has announced a new route for Karachi’s women-only Pink Bus Service, with operations officially set to begin on November 17, 2025. The new route will run from Abdullah Chowk to Numaish, giving women a safer and more dedicated public transport option on one of the busiest stretches of the city.

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon revealed the details, stating that the Pink Bus will run during peak hours at three fixed times: 8am–9am, 1pm–2pm, and 5pm–7pm. These timings are designed to support women who commute for work, education, and daily activities.

He highlighted that the service is exclusively for women and equipped with enhanced safety features, including tracking systems, surveillance cameras, and trained staff, ensuring a secure and comfortable journey. The Sindh government also plans to expand the Pink Bus network to more neighbourhoods as part of a broader effort to improve women’s mobility in Karachi.

According to the minister, the initiative aims to increase women’s access to education, employment, and public spaces by offering a dependable and secure transport system — a key step toward gender-inclusive urban mobility in Sindh.
