Here’s How You Can Cancel a Wrong Traffic Challan From Home
LAHORE | November 2025 —
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has launched a new online e-Challan portal that allows drivers to cancel incorrect or duplicate traffic fines without visiting any office. This digital service aims to make the process of reviewing and correcting challans faster, easier, and more transparent for citizens across Punjab.
According to PSCA officials, the new system helps motorists save time and avoid the hassle of long queues at traffic centres. Through the e-Challan portal, users can now review and challenge wrongly issued fines directly from home with just a few clicks.
To access the service, motorists need to visit the PSCA e-Challan portal and enter their vehicle registration number and CNIC. After selecting the “Review” option, users can describe the issue — for example, a duplicate challan for the same date or time. Once submitted, PSCA staff review the request, verify the data, and if found valid, the incorrect challan is promptly cancelled.
The PSCA has also integrated this feature into its “Public Safety” mobile app, available on both Android and iOS. Through the app, drivers can not only file review requests but also track their application status in real time.
Officials believe this new feature will reduce errors, improve accountability, and make traffic management more efficient. Many motorists have welcomed the update, calling it a citizen-friendly reform that ensures fairness and convenience.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to digitize public services under its broader “Smart Punjab” vision, aimed at minimizing paperwork, promoting transparency, and enhancing user experience.
