A viral video claiming to show the “World’s First Sky Stadium in Saudi Arabia” has been confirmed to be AI-generated and fake, according to Saudi state media.
The clip, which accumulated over 50 million views across social platforms, depicted a glowing football stadium floating high above the desert—leading millions to believe it was part of Saudi Arabia’s 2034 FIFA World Cup preparations.

AFP’s digital-verification team traced the clip back to an Instagram creator named. “Hyporaultraworks,” who is known for sharing AI-generated architectural concepts.
The artist confirmed that the viral video was created purely as a digital experiment, saying:
“What started as a simple AI concept has taken on a life of its own — over 50 million views later.”
He further explained that the design was entirely imaginary. Exploring the idea of a futuristic skyscraper-style football arena and not inspired by any Saudi construction plans.
