Allama Iqbal Day – 9 November
Allama Muhammad Iqbal Day is observed every year on 9 November to honor the birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal (1877–1938) — the Poet of the East, Philosopher, and National Thinker of Pakistan.
Iqbal was born in Sialkot, Punjab, and is remembered for inspiring the idea of a separate homeland for Muslims of the Indian subcontinent — which later became Pakistan. His poetry in Urdu and Persian focused on self-respect, unity, and awakening among Muslims.
