ChatGPT Introduce Cheaper GPT-5 Access for Pakistan Users

OpenAI has officially launched its affordable ChatGPT Go subscription plan in Pakistan. And 15 other Asian countries, giving users access to the power of GPT-5 at a lower cost.

The announcement was made by ChatGPT chief Nick Torley on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He said the expansion followed growing demand from users seeking a cheaper way to access OpenAI’s premium AI features.

The new plan is now available in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, East Timor, Vietnam, and Pakistan. The rollout comes months after the initial launch of ChatGPT Go in India and Indonesia, marking OpenAI’s deeper push into Asia.

According to OpenAI’s official blog, the ChatGPT Go plan provides all the features available in the free version but with added perks. Users get enhanced image generation, file uploads, data analysis tools, and access to GPT-5, the company’s latest and most advanced AI model. The plan also offers higher usage limits compared to the free tier, ensuring smoother and faster AI interaction.

In Pakistan, the monthly cost of ChatGPT Go is set at Rs. 1,400, making it far cheaper than ChatGPT Plus (Rs. 5,700), ChatGPT Pro (Rs. 49,900), or the Business Plan (Rs. 8,499). This move makes advanced AI tools more affordable for students, freelancers. And small businesses seeking productivity support through intelligent chat and content generation.

The plan’s affordability could transform the way Pakistan’s tech-savvy population engages with AI. With a growing digital economy and millions of users already familiar with OpenAI’s chatbot, this rollout could help accelerate AI adoption in education, software development, and small enterprises.

Industry experts say OpenAI’s decision reflects the region’s rising demand for AI access. According to BBC Tech. South Asia has become one of the fastest-growing AI user markets. The rollout of ChatGPT Go could further expand that momentum.

Meanwhile, CNN Business reported that the affordable plan also aims to compete with local AI platforms emerging in Asia. Offering flexibility without compromising on performance.

As AI continues to reshape work and creativity, ChatGPT Go could serve as a gateway for millions in Pakistan to explore the future of digital intelligence — powered by GPT-5.
