RAWALPINDI — October 8, 2025: The Pakistan Army has warned India that any attempt to impose a “new normal” will be met with a swift and retributive response, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The warning came during the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at the General Headquarters (GHQ), chaired by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The forum expressed serious concern over provocative statements from Indian leaders, calling them “irresponsible and unwarranted” efforts to stoke war hysteria for political gain.
Security and Counterterrorism Focus
Commanders reviewed Pakistan’s counterterrorism operations and reaffirmed their commitment to neutralize Indian-sponsored terror proxies such as Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan.
The ISPR added:
“The existing nexus between terror and crime, aided by political patronage, will not be allowed to continue anymore.”
Tensions Following May Conflict
The warning follows heightened tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi after a four-day armed conflict in May, the worst in decades.
India claimed to have downed five Pakistani fighter jets — a claim not supported by evidence.
Pakistan, meanwhile, said it shot down six Indian Air Force jets during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, forcing a ceasefire brokered by the United States on May 10.
Pakistan-Saudi Defence Pact and Regional Support
The conference also welcomed the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement, terming it a “major step” toward enhancing regional peace and security.
Commanders reaffirmed support for Kashmir and Palestine, backing the two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders with Al Quds Al Sharif as Palestine’s capital.
COAS Message
In closing remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir commended troops for their resilience and professionalism, directing commanders to maintain high readiness and discipline to counter any conventional or hybrid threat.
